In 2018 the desire to unite to tell and enhance the typicality of a still wild and uncontaminated territory such as that of Etna under the name of Carranco was born.
Etna di Carranco wines are produced with vines that have always been cultivated on the slopes of the volcano.
Our vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level. on the north side of Etna, in an incomparable setting. They have their roots in a black and unparalleled earth, rich in minerals and eruptive materials such as ashes, lapilli and volcanic sands originating from the crumbling of lava flows.
In the cellar we produce our wines according to winemaking techniques still linked to local tradition. For this reason, red wines ferment in concrete tanks, as in the past in the historic Palmenti, and we still use large oak barrels for aging. White wines, on the other hand, ferment in steel tanks and refine in concrete vats at controlled temperatures.
