Etna is more than a mountain: it is the highest active volcano in Europe, a sleeping giant to which the local inhabitants attribute a feminine nature of a capricious woman, but also maternal and protective, a fickle being with whom to live and on which to rely on every day.
IDDA means "you" in Sicilian dialect and is the term that, with affection and admiration, the locals use to define Etna.
IDDA is also the joint project of two families, Gaja and Graci, based on the common curiosity and the desire to learn and improve.
With IDDA we have taken an unusual path: focusing attention mainly on the Carricante and focusing on the rediscovery of the south-west side, often referred to as the counter-current side of Etna.
Today the company owns 20 hectares of vineyards located between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. in the municipalities of Belpasso and Biancavilla. The cultivated vines are Carricante and Nerello Mascalese.
