Benanti means respect for all the specific Etnean viticultural vocations. The volcano and its terroir in fact have an important heterogeneity, which makes each side or area particularly suitable for one grape variety rather than another. Etna is more than 3000 meters high: its slopes have substantial differences in the wine activity, varying in exposure, temperature range, altitude, soil, brightness, rainfall, ventilation, influence of the sea, farming system.
The "know how to make wine" has its roots in time and in the territory. The vines are indigenous; the grapes are harvested by hand; the high planting densities are combined with low yields; the careful and prudent vinification takes place with the help of native yeasts selected in the vineyard.
